#Free, with no account
Playing against the engine, hints, the Tutor, on-device analysis of a whole match, Study and transcription drafts all work without an account and without paying.
That is possible because the engine runs in your browser, compiled to WebAssembly. Your device does the work, so there is no server cost for us to pass on.
#Plan pills
Throughout help, a pill beside a feature names the plan it needs. Standard means Standard or Pro; Pro means Pro alone. A feature with no pill works without a paid plan, metered or not.
#What registering adds
An account moves the parts that cannot run on your device onto ours: server analysis at depths a browser cannot reach, models we do not publish for download, matches stored in the cloud instead of only in this browser, and live broadcasting.
A free account is metered rather than unlimited: a small number of server analyses a day, and short matches only. The plans page shows what each plan currently allows, because those numbers are a property of the deployment rather than of this page.
#Standard Standard
Standard lifts the metering on server-side analysis:
- Server match analyses on a weekly fair-use guideline rather than a daily cap
- Any match length, money games included
- Unlimited saved matches, drafts, studies and position queries
- Every analysis strength we offer, on one position or a whole match: searches up to 4-ply, and both rollout presets
- Live analysis while you transcribe, and move explanations on every blunder
- A written review of every match you analyse
- Live broadcasting with a shareable watch link and OBS overlays
- Standard-tier models
- Priority over free accounts in the analysis queue
#Pro Pro
Pro is for people who want the strongest engine we have, and for developers:
- Everything in Standard, at a higher weekly fair-use guideline
- Every model we run, including the frontier networks no other plan can select. The analysis strengths are the same on both paid plans; what changes is the engine behind them
- Webhooks and API keys for bots and integrations
- Top priority in the analysis queue
#Guest passes
A Standard or Pro subscription comes with a few guest passes a year. Each one is a link you send to someone: whoever redeems it gets 30 days of Standard on their own account. Send one to a student, a club-mate, or anyone you want to show the engine to.
You create a pass in Settings, and copy its link from there or from Home. A pass nobody has redeemed expires 90 days after you create it, and an unused pass ends when the subscription it came with does. Home's reminder about your passes can be hidden for 30 days; the passes themselves stay in Settings.
#The fair-use guideline
Each paid plan publishes a figure for server match analyses, counted over a rolling seven days.
It is a guideline, not a cap. Nothing is withheld when you go past it, and a busy week is nothing to worry about. We publish it so that sustained heavy or automated use, well beyond what one player generates, can be addressed if it ever needs to be.
#What this deployment allows
The numbers below are asked of the server rather than written on this page, so they are what is running right now. Only server-side match analyses count towards the guideline: single positions, live queries while you transcribe, and anything your own browser runs do not, and a cancelled or failed analysis does not either.
On this deployment, the weekly fair-use guideline for server match analyses is:
| Plan | Server match analyses per week |
|---|---|
| Standard | 50, at 7 points each |
| Pro | 200, at 7 points each |
And a free account, which is metered rather than guided:
| What | Free plan |
|---|---|
| Server match analyses | 1 a day |
| Server position analyses | 5 a day |
| Move explanations | 3 a day |
| Matches saved in the cloud | 10 |
| Longest match a server pass will take | 5 points |
